An Interactive Workshop Fusing Storytelling, Art & Movement
Millicent Ansah and the West Bergen Branch Library are excited to welcome children and families back for the **4th edition of Stretch & Sketch!šļøšš§š¾āāļøšš
For four years, Stretch & Sketch has created space for children to explore their feelings, imagination, creativity, and individuality through storytelling, art, and movement. This interactive workshop encourages children to explore emotions, build empathy, practice emotional regulation, and discover creative ways to express themselves. šøšļø
š Millicent Ansah- Educator, curator, and poet will guide children through storytelling and open-ended questions that encourage imagination, reflection, empathy, and self-expression. šš«
šØFaye Flow- Returning to Stretch & Sketch! Faye will lead an engaging art experience encouraging children to explore creativity and express themselves through color, shape, and imagination. šØāØ
š§š¾āāļø Lisa Rose-Certified yoga instructor and co-owner of The Common Earth Company returns to guide children through gentle yoga, movement, and breathing exercises that encourage mindfulness, body awareness, relaxation, and calm. šæā®ļøš
Our intention is to create a welcoming space where children can **feel, create, move, ask questions, and simply be themselves.** Through a story, a breath, a movement, or a piece of art, children can discover new ways to understand and express what theyāre feeling. šš
