Join ARTS 14C for the closing reception of "The Fabric of a Nation", a thought-provoking exhibition marking the 250th anniversary of the United States through the lens of contemporary textile and fiber art.
Featuring work by fourteen artists selected through the ARTS 14C Special Project Residency, the exhibition explores the complexities, contradictions, and evolving narratives of the American experience. Using quilting, weaving, embroidery, soft sculpture, and mixed-media textiles—including donated red, white, and blue fabrics from a Netflix film production—the artists examine themes of identity, history, memory, labor, and national symbolism.
Celebrate the closing with the artists and experience an exhibition that invites reflection on the past while imagining the future of the American story.
