For the 15th year, Pro Arts Jersey City offered artists the opportunity to meet with gallerists/curators for portfolio reviews for the Meet The Curators professional development event. Artists and gallery professionals meet for one-on-one conversations. At the conclusion of the program, each curator selects one artist with the top portfolio for the Curators’ Choice exhibition. This year’s curators were Parker Daily Garcia of Pen & Brush Gallery (NYC), Katelyn Halpern of Smush Gallery (Jersey City). Meghan Roghanchi of RAM Gallery, (Summit NJ), Andrea McKenna – Gallery Director, Art House Productions (Jersey City), Zsolt Bátori & Borbála Jász of PH21 Photography Gallery (Barcelona Spain), Cheryl Minden – Art Director/Curator for The Bravitas Group, Inc. (Montclair), Kristin DeAngelis – Director of Strategies & Operations at Mana Contemporary (Jersey City), and PE Pinkman of Watchung Arts Center (Watchung).

The artists selected for this year’s Curators Choice are Anna Collevecchio, Christine Sauerteig-Pilaar, Sara Canfield, Edward Fausty, Dorie Dahlberg, Christine Barney, Kevin McCaffrey, and Ann Antoshak. Meghan Roghanchi will curate the exhibition.

The opening reception will be Friday, September 11th during JCFridays at ART150 Gallery, 157A First St. Jersey City. A panel discussion will be held on September 20th from 1:30-2:30 PM. Open weekends 1:00-4:00 PM through September 27th. Both the exhibition and panel discussion are free and open to the public. The gallery is wheelchair accessible.
