JCW Flash Fiction Friday & TRIVIA: Wedding Bells // 7pm-9pm

Friday, June 2nd, 7pm-9pm Jersey City Writers

Wedding Bells in white cursive on pink background. Jersey City Writers logo and JCAC logo at bottom right corner.
Wedding Bells

What's that ringing in your ears? Could it be wedding bells? Whether it's a formal affair, a shotgun wedding, or some other joyful or not-so-joyful noise - we want to hear it!

Sure, you can tell a tale, but can you do it in a FLASH? Time to prove it!

Tell us a story using no more than 150 words. Each writer will read their piece aloud (or get a friend to do it for them) and the audience will vote for their favorite. Winner gets bragging rights, the envy of their peers, and a prize, so bring it!

After the readings, you have another chance to win! Test your topical knowledge with our interactive, multimedia trivia quiz, featuring photos, songs, quotes, and more. The trivia questions are based on our theme of the month, and we always include questions about writers!

Submission Guidelines: The first 15 writers to submit their completed Flash Fiction Friday piece will be in the lineup to compete in the event. Pieces must be submitted by 5 pm on the day of the event. Remember, your piece must be no more than 150 words. No exceptions. Only one submission per writer. Stay on topic!

FFF IS ALL ABOUT THE FUN. Keep it sweet and light. No politics. No religion. And don't kill any dogs.

Please note: a Zoom link will only be offered to participants who don't live in the NYC Metro area or have made special arrangements in advance.
