Orlando and Laura Cuevas

357 Palisade Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07307

An expressionistic painting of a quirky version of Jersey City’s Powerhouse building with a sky reminiscent of Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” painting. The painting uses complementary colors blue and orange for strong contrast. The surface appears heavily textured with thick paint. In the center is the orange Power house building painted with distorted angles. The sky mimics Vincent Van Gogh’s starry night with big brush strokes that create swirls across the painting. In the upper right corner is an orange crescent moon surrounded by a yellow glow.
