Join us for a social, arty evening celebrating SMUSH Summer Residency Artists from the last nine (9!) summers. They’re digging up and bringing in visual art, zines, readings, writings, and performances from the recent (and more distant) past, and they are ready to gab. Get to know what they made and what they’ve been up to since!


With artists Gabe Chiarello (2025), Nicole DeMaio (2021, 2024), Katelyn Halpern (2023, 2026), Meredith Hemphill (2026), Daniela Hernandez (2024), Ian King (2024), Sarah Liebau (2025), Aurelia Luciano (2026), Nancy Mendez-Booth (2024), Maeve McCullough (2024), Rachel Murdy (2020, 2023, 2026), Bash Ortega (2025), Buttered Roll (2024), and Marcus Williams (2026).


ABOUT SMUSH SUMMER RESIDENCIES: Since 2018, SMUSH Summer Arts Residencies have offered artists the chance to enjoy the “gallery as studio" with self-directed time for generative work. Open to all disciplines, our residencies are an exceptional opportunity for artists to feed their creative practice with studio work, rehearsal, performance, and exhibition.
