5.7 highlights the Guild’s enduring influence and the living dialogue between its historic legacy and contemporary sculptural practice. The exhibition’s title references the 5.7 linear feet of archival microfilm on the Sculptors Guild housed at the Smithsonian Museum—records that document the organization’s history from its founding in 1937 through 1979.

Curated to bridge past and present, 5.7 celebrates nearly nine decades of sculptors who have shaped, expanded, and redefined the field.
