Friday, June 5th, 5:00pm-8:00pm

Join us for the closing reception of the Showcase (2026), an evening celebrating the artists and stories behind this year’s exhibition. The event will feature artist talks with the selected participants, offering visitors a rare opportunity to hear directly about the ideas, processes, and experiences that shaped the work on view.

The evening will begin with an early low-sensory tour of the exhibition at 5pm led by Dr. Rita Kaul, Doctor of Physical Therapy, offering a more accessible way to experience the work before the reception begins for those with crowd anxiety.

Over the years, the 14C team has traveled across all 21 counties of New Jersey to meet Showcase artists wherever they create—from renowned studio complexes to kitchens, garages, backyard sheds, and even a converted chicken coop. Each year, a new panel of art world experts selects the artists, followed by studio visits that guide the final exhibition.

This year’s cohort includes 17 exceptional artists whose work reflects the depth and diversity of creative practice across the state. The closing reception invites audiences to connect, reflect, and celebrate the culmination of this statewide journey.
